Dear Parents and Students,

What an exciting year in ART! Your children are a joy to teach. Many entered Mayfest and their work will be on display in the Youth Art Gallery at the PAC, and others are planning on entering the Tulsa State Fair. My intern, Ana, is still studying oil painting in Taos and is now interning for a film maker. Thirty of my paintings are on display at the Wild Fork in Utica Square. I invite you to come by and take a peak.

We have moved Heidi Contreras School of Art  to a bigger and better location two blocks south at Trinity United Methodist Church on the SE corner of 37th and Peoria. With the move comes several artists new to our school.

Shannon Rook, a passionate artist and interior designer, is teaching knitting, embroidery, cross-stitch, crafts, drawing, Mommy & Me Art, doll-making and quilt making. Which means we now have a Sewing Room!

Master puppet maker and multi-media artist, Mary Jane Porter is teaching puppet making workshops for adults and teens!

Professional artist and instructor, Julie Miller, will be teaching a Monday afternoon oil painting class for adults and mature teens. Julie works with traditonal elements and a contemporary approach. Her narrative paintings are colorful and dynamic. She has a strong following among collectors and students.

I am teaching children's art camps, drawing in various media, oil painting, watercolors, Mommy & Me Art, privatre summer lessons, and Fabric Painting!

Summer classes start in June.

Thank you!

Heidi Contreras
