Summer Art Classes Are Starting!
updated: 06/02/2010 12:00:05 AM

Dear Students and Parents,

It's here! We've moved in are READY for an exciting summer of ART! Thank you for your patience as we worked through all the glitches. The summer schedule is updated, supply lists are available and enrollment forms can be downloaded.

Congratulations to all who entered Mayfest Youth Art Gallery, and especially to those who won ribbons! We are proud of every one of you! The next art contest is the Tulsa State Fair. Any art worked on during the year may be submitted.

I am thrilled to introduce another new teacher: my friend and fantastic oil painter, Betty Dalsing. She is offering oil painting classes for adults on Tuesday afternoon 2:00-4:00 and Tuesday evenings 6:30-8:30. Betty's expertise is painting juicy landscapes with both palette knife and brush.

Heidi's School of Art now offers five different oil painting classes taught by three artists with different styles, palettes and techniques; a hodgepodge of children's classes from art camps in drawing, painting, collage, scratch art; to workshops for all ages in pen & ink, fabric painting, watercolors, mixed media and classes in cross-stitch, embroidery, knitting, quilt-making, sewing and crafts! We also offer "supplies included" Mommy & Me Art classes for toddlers and a Puppet-making workshop for teens and adults--especially great for educators, from master puppet-maker Mary Jane Porter.

Also, several of us offer private lessons available upon request.

Check out the schedule and let us know what you are interested in. We are looking forward to a great summer creating ART!

Thank you!
